She co-founded Plan-It-X Records, the label responsible for the folk-punk and anarcho punk movement and also Against Me!'s early releases.
PIX Records have remained an extreme DIY label, always. And as much distaste I have for 'PIX kids' who seem to take everything to extremes, Chris and Sam always seemed cool.
It's important to keep in mind that, in independent culture, record labels play a huge part in music. Often you can tell what a punk band is all about just by what record labels they are associated with. Not just a faceless corporation that pushes money towards distributors, or sends 'talent scouts' looking for bands to pick-up and cash-in on. And PIX were the label that was releasing music on burned cd's and silk-screening their own album covers, whatever it took to get their friends music out.
